A graduate of Virginia Military Institute (VMI), Michael earned a B.A. in history. Upon graduating, Michael began his career as a supervisor of logistics for Norfolk Southern Corporation. While working with and servicing large industries in both Alabama and North Carolina, he realized a desire to have a more balanced family life with less business travel. In 2012, he made the decision to enter the financial industry by becoming a field adviser for the Knights of Columbus. Michael gained valuable experience in financial, retirement and estate planning; however he felt a strong calling to better serve clients in a greater capacity by adopting a more holistic approach toward financial planning. Therefore in 2015, Michael joined the team at Cannon Advisors to offer his clients a comprehensive wealth management solution which addresses their full financial and estate planning needs. When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending quality time with his wife and 8 children. He is very active within his church and enjoys volunteering with the Knights of Columbus. He is a history buff and huge sports fan.
