Cancelation Policy
At Cannon Tax & Accounting, we value our clients' time and strive to provide the best service possible. To maintain efficiency and ensure fair treatment of all clients, we have implemented the following cancelation policy for no-show appointments. This policy will be effective as of 1/6/2025.
1. Definition of No-Show:
A "no-show" is defined as a client who misses a scheduled appointment without providing any prior notice or cancels the appointment after the designated cancelation window has passed.
2. Cancelation Window:
Clients are required to cancel or reschedule their appointments at least 24-hours hours in advance to avoid being considered a no-show.
3. No-Show Fee:
In the event of a no-show appointment, a no-show fee will be charged to the client's account. The fee will be $35.00. This fee is necessary to compensate for the time and resources allocated for the missed appointment.
4. Fee Charging Process:
The no-show fee will be automatically charged to the client's invoice for services. The no-show fee will be a line item on the service invoice including date of missed appointment.
5. Exceptions:
Exceptions to the no-show fee may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Genuine emergencies or unforeseen situations that prevent the client from attending the appointment.
Discretionary decisions made by the management after reviewing the client's explanation for the no-show.
6. Waiver of No-Show Fee:
To avoid the no-show fee, clients can reschedule or cancel their appointments within the designated cancelation window. Clients are encouraged to notify us as soon as possible if they cannot attend their scheduled appointment.

8. Record Keeping:
All no-show appointments and corresponding fees will be recorded in our system for accurate tracking and reference.
9. Policy Updates:
We reserve the right to modify or update this cancellation policy for no-show appointments as needed. Any changes will be communicated to clients through our website, email, or other suitable means.
